Information and European Education Department

This department organizes events, national and international seminars, conferences, training sessions, and round-tables. We offer excursions and study-trips which allow participants to visit main cultural and political centres.

Main developed projects:

The Vocation of the National/Regional Central-Eastern European Capitales within the Acceleration of the Pre-accession Process to the European Union - First Pan-European Meeting of high representatives of local public authorities and Europe Houses, under the High Patronage of the General Mayor of Bucharest, in co-operation with the Romanian Association of Municipalities, sponsored by the Open Society Foundation and FIME. A second Meeting on European Governance was held in Sinaia, between 25-28 April 2002;
Europeanisation Opportunity for Romania through Promoting the Social-Economic Regional Development and Diversity - elaborating a study research and developing an advocacy campaign for the regional development of Romanian regions;
Cross-Border Co-operation of Small and Medium -Sized Enterprises - in co-operation with the Foundation for Market Economy (FME) from Budapest (Hungary), the Center for Economic Development (CED) from Bratislava (Slovakia), supported by Freedom House, under the auspices of the Regional Networking Project, founded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID);

Romanian Study Group affiliated to the European Institute for the Study of Aggressiveness and Violence (Madrid, Spain): research project in the field of Political Violence and Intolerance;

Romanian Research Group affiliated to the European Research Centre on the Ethnography of the School (Lecce, Italy): research project in the field of Educational Sciences.

The SOCIAL DIALOGUE in the context of the pre-accession process to the UE - training sessions dedicated to the employer organizations, in co-operation with the National Foundation of Young Managers (programme sponsored by PHARE);

Consumer protection in Europe - Seminar co-organised with the Maison Douaisienne de l’Europe for decision-makers in consumer protection issues and in the field of economy;

Romanian Mid Term Economic Development Strategy - a public debate organised in co-operation with the National Association for Public Services.
