The Youth & Student Department of the EUROLINK - House of Europe was created in March 1997, in order to assist the young generation in Romania in its ambition to build a modern Romania integrated in the future United Europe.

In this respect, we support East-West youth mobility, consisting in youth exchange visits, workshops, study tours etc. aim at providing the experience of inter-cultural knowledge, discussions and working in multi-cultural groups.

Our activities are designed to bring young people together within formal and informal events, as a starting-point for mutual exchanges of ideas converting to a new challenge for the European Idea.

ROCOCO EXCELLENCE CENTRE

The Romanian Career Opportunities Counselling and Training Centre was established in the summer of 1998,
and it is aimed to offer a professional and personalised assistance to Romanian students and young profesionals.

Current programs:

EU Target, TRIDENT Transnational, Institute of International Education, European Institute of Design, International Institute of French Language

Main developed projects:

• National Histories in SEEC and History of a United Europe - one-year project, including two training sessions and two seminars, aimed to establish a functional South-Eastern European student and alumni network on long-term in the field of History Studies. The project was dedicated to change the perspective on the contribution and history of minorities in the region, the introduction of the European principles, values and practices within the academic life and the dissemination process of national history;
  
• Romanian Bus for a United Europe - participation to the European Citizen Forum 2000 with a Romanian youth delegation of 90 persons, Nice 6-8 December 2000;

• Young Leaders Initiative for Historical Reconciliation - Introduction to Conflict Prevention and Negotiations Techniques Adapted to the Balkan Post-War Context - short international training session on conflict prevention and negotiations techniques for young leaders from South-Eastern Europe, organised in co-operation with Kontakt der Kontinenten (the Netherlands), member of the European Platform for Conflict Transformation and Alliance for Conflict Transformation (USA), deployed in Bucharest in September 2000;

• Romanian Voice within the New Europe - event dedicated to Europe Day on May, 9^th 2000;

• Bucharest - Amsterdam - Madrid Express: round tables, seminars and public events programme. Study, communication, political lobby and promotion programme in favor of the strategy of pre-accession of Romania to the European and Euro-Atlantic structures (in co-operation with Research Institute of Romanian-German Studies).
