Welcome to the House of Europe From the Weekly Magazine FOCUS VEST |
Initiated by the House of Europe "EUROLINK" in Romania, Member of the International Federation of Europe Houses, between 20-24 March 2003 in Timisoara it will take place a necessary project entitled: "National Histories in South-Eastern Europe and History of a United Europe". The media partners of the project are the weekly magazine "Focus Vest" and the daily newspaper "Ziua de Vest". The first section of the project deployed between 20-23 March, and included a training session hosted by the Technical College of Timisoara. The seminar benefit of the presence of some well-known specialists in European studies: rof. Florian Bieber, Joaquim Pinto-Da-Silva, Elena Santamaria, Vito A. D'Armento, Corneliu Berari. We believe it is also appropriate to summarize the most important elements of this seminar: Thursday, 20 March, the main topocs of the seminar and the invited trainers were presented. Friday, 21 March, beginning with 9 o'clock, in the Ceremony Hall of the Technical College of Timisoara, Prof. Florian Bieber will present the topic "Historical Legacies and Ethnic Diversity", followed by the workshop and discussions. Also, Prof. Florian Bieber will present the ropic "Minority Rights and Education" and will animate a simulation game on "Teacher Training for Albanians in Montenegro". In the third day, from 9 o'clock, Ildiko Pataki, in co-operation with Simona Lobonta and Ion Zegheanu will co-ordinate a workshop. Joaquim Pinto-Da-Silva and Corneliu Berari will also address presentations.
Organised by the House of Europe "EUROLINK" in Romania, ember of the International federation of Europe Houses, in the period 20-24 March, in Timisoara will take place the South-Eastern European Training Session within the project: "National Histories in South-Eastern Europe and History of a United Europe". The works will be honored by experts and professors in European Studies from the European Commission, Central European University, University of Lecce, Casa Rumana Association in Spain, as well as from the foreign consulates and cultural centers in Timisoara. The main goal of the project is to introduce within the national history curricula the teaching of history in a European context.
